This will be my third Trumpeter 1/16 scale T-34. Instead of following the instructions, I decided to start by building the turret.

After building the turret, I went to the beginning of the instructions and began working on the lower hull. Here, the springs are in and taped off, ready for painting the lower hull dark green.

Here is what the interior looks like before I spray paint it flat white. After which, I cover the interior, prime the exterior flat black and later, paint it dark green.

Here is the interior, after I spray painted it flat white. You can see where I removed the scotch tape, which covered the suspension system.

The exterior has already been primed with flat black and then dark green. The tape has already been removed and I have painted over the tape marks.

Here is the first step in painting the turret. After spray painting the interior sections flat white, I covered the interior and primed the exterior and main gun and flat black. Afterwards, I painted them both dark green.

Here is a finished road wheel. I am very happy with how it looks. After painting the road wheels I added AK Interactive dark brown wash. Then, I dry brushed on a subtle amount of rust. Then, I sprayed them with dullcote.

The top part of the exterior hull is almost finished. Once again, primed it with black, then sprayed on dark green. Then, I started the winter camouflage with flat white. Next up, the AK Interactive dark brown and rust dry brushing.

I just glued the turret halves, ring, and main gun together. Basically, the turret comes in five pieces, which I painted separately before joining them together.

A good view of the 76 mm gun inside the turret. After painting the gun dark green, I used AK Interactive dark green wash and dry brushed silver in a few places.

I just attached the road wheels and tracks to the lower hull. The upper hull is not attached to the bottom. I still have a lot of work to do on the interior.

I am quite happy with how the winter camouflage turned out. The exterior is almost finished. I Just have to add decals to the turret and spray it with dullcote. The interior is still a work in progress.

After doing two Trumpeter 1/16 scale T-34s in dark green, I was very excited to try winter camouflage on this one. Simply put, I love the result...
