Revell's F-86D is a very nice, modern kit, for a very reasonable price. The surface detail on the F-86 is the best I've seen in a Revell model. Beautiful engraved lines throughout, superb fit and flawless transparencies make this a joy to assemble and paint. The only two drawbacks were (1) my copy's decals seem to be a bit on the thick side and required liberal amounts of solvaset setting solution to get them to partially conform. Where the decals needed to conform to complex shapes on the plane, they just wouldn't. (2) The instruction manual could use a few more color callouts, for instance, the inside of the speed brakes. Overall, regardless of the minor issues, I had a great time with the Sabre Dog and would highly recommend it to plane lovers of all types.
