This mine is modeled on the Red Elephant mine in Clear Creek County, Colorado, West of Idaho Springs, Colorado. This model by Campbell, located in Durango, Colorado, is quite unique in modeling structures. Although my finished product looks fantastic on my layout, I had many problems with the directions and the pre-cut window and door portals. Every portal in this model was cut too small. Adaptations needed to be made. Instructions included mis-labeling of parts and improper instructions. I sent them a list of 11 problems I had with the instructions. Campbell promised to address the issues I raised. My 4-star rating is based on the finished product--5 for the way it looks minus 1 for all the problems. If you are good enough to build this model, you should be able to build it from scratch.
