This kit is good for beginners as well as advanced modelers. It's a nice way to learn how to build more complicated wooden kits without getting overwhelmed. You can use paint or stains for the wood. Either works well. If you do use acrylic paint, be sure to apply light coats as the wood warps very easily. I found this out the hard way. Fortunately, a little weight on the warped parts flattens them out nicely. Read the instructions carefully. While the assembly is relatively simple, you can become lost. All parts are numbered clearly to keep you on track. The instructions come with some very helpful hints, as well. The kit included some nice interior details. You have plenty of room to add more of your own, as you can see in my bakery version of this kit. If you are patient, you will be rewarded with a nice addition to your layout!
