This is a pair of old rivals: the P40b and the Zero. They met several times on the battlefield, and the zero, being lighter and more agile, could overtake the P40... Only a shift in tactics allowed for the P40 to suffer lower losses... About the model kits, both are perfect! the zero was already sold in 2 different boxes, and the p40b as itself or as curtiss hawk 81 or tomahawk 2. The sprues are identical, and both model kits are perfect! the p40 could have more detail in the radiator scoop, but appart from that (and to test the fit and refit of the clear parts), it is very nice. These new moulds from airfix are simply astonishing! It is a good chance to have the 2 rivals on the shelf!...
