This model was very straight forward to build. Little complexity, excellent for beginners. This MIG-3 could be easily enhanced with more detail starting with the cockpit to include instrument panel. For the money, good value, and I now have a nice MIG-3 in my WWII collection.

This little kit is really great. Especially for the beginning builder. The only downside of this kit, is the lack of a decent cockpit, but experienced modelers can overcome that. The molding is fine and crisp, with recessed panel lines. The fit of parts is excellent. No fillers or sanding needed at all. The lines of the kit are correct. Some kits out there get the nose wrong, but this one is right on. Great value for your money. I highly recommend this kit to any modeler, especially those just starting in the hobby.

I like Hobby Boss easy assembly 1:72 aircraft kits. Easy assembly doesn’t mean lack of detail. True, cockpit detail is very basic but beyond that these kits have good surface detail, excellent fit and a solid feel when fully assembled. The Mig-3 is no exception. It was a pleasure to build. Fit was excellent which meant zero struggles and zero glue stains on the surfaces. Decals also went on well. I scratch built an instrument panel to enhance the cockpit. Overall an enjoyable and satisfying build. I highly recommend it!
