Reviews : Atlantis The Mummy (Glow in the Dark)

When I was a kid I loved the Universal monsters from back in the '60s. I also loved the Aurora kits of them although I only owned a couple back then. When I returned to plastic model building 15 years back I picked up all the re-popped Aurora monsters and this is one of the best. It is a very nice rendition of the movie monster and has a great backdrop to go with it. It also captured the box art well compared to many of the kits. It is maybe a bit better fit and mold wise than some of the others and goes together easily. There is lots of room for bringing out the depth of the backdrop which I did with pastels. All in all at the top of the monster kits and so nice for Atlantis to bring it back again.

I built one of these when I was 10 years old,I had all the old Aurora Glow series monster kits. Sadly long gone..years ago was it Polar lights that repopped most of these kits? But no old school big square glow box..now we have the best of both worlds great kits and the fantastic retro box!!

This is a really fun and easy kit to build. This Mummy kit has some parts that glow in the dark and those parts glow really bright. I highly recommend this kit for anyone looking for easy to build, fun and cool looking figure kit.
