Pie Wagon
I've always liked the Tom Daniel kits from Monogram,i tried to build this kit at about 7 yrs old around 1972,i did a bad job and i don't think i even finished it,i decided to do a nostalgia build all these years later with MUCH IMPROVED SKILLS,i liked the working rear suspension but had to eliminate it because i felt it sat way too high in the back,i also shaved the bottom of the oil pan for clearance,i used molotow chrome,Tamiya and Testors paints and bare metal foil,i mixed Testors dark red, white and a few drops of blue for a cherry pie filling color,i like to properly build kits that i couldn't do a good job on as a kid i think it came out good

This model is a challenge to build, as it has some parts that require a lot of patience. The front axle is hard to assemble as it is chrome, and it needs some TLC to put together. The best solution is to use clear super glue to hold everything in place. The rest goes together with minimal issues. The body has a gap that needs to be filled with putty. but that is it for any issues during assembly. I recommend it for those wanting a neat show car for their collection.

Molded in color, perfect. One of many cool, good looking Tom Daniels designs. Glad Atlantis brought this kit back. Sweet flathead V-8.
