This is a fun kit to build, but you need to be careful when building the chassis to make sure you keep everything square. However, overall, the fit of the kit is very good if you take your time and test fit the parts. My only issue was that I needed to remove the header extender that the instructions call for to be glued to the block. This forced the headers too way too low and the model would not sit on the wheels. The simple solution was to just remove the extenders and glue the chrome exhaust headers directly to the block. Also, the model does not come with a post to hold up the body to show off the engine and driver compartment. I just made one with some left over sprue.

I really enjoyed this build. Virtually no flash, good parts fit (except the rear bumper being a little hard to locate properly). I found very few pictures of the actual car on the internet, but did find one of McEwen sitting in the car with the body up, which was my reference for some of the deviations from the instructions that I made during the build. Colors of frame, distributor cap and plug wires are as found in that photo. There have been comments on the headers. I did use the extender flanges, but cut and filed/filled and sanded after gluing the header pipes to them. All things said, take your time, think it through and you can have a great finished model.

Kind of an average kit. Some of the chassis parts didn’t fit well and kind of vague instructions on fitting some of the parts. Very little body parts because it is a uni- body funny car. Use your imagination and creativity and it can be a very cool looking car when finished.

This in an enjoyable model, I have built this in years , I get to enjoy it again
