Excellent Kit
By: tsm5031
When it comes to the M1A2 TUSK II Abrams the market is flooded with options, Academy's Kit is in my opinion the easiest one to build while not sacrificing detail and comes with photo etch and clear parts which Tamiya often neglects. Dragon and RFM may have slightly more detailed kits but the part count is significantly higher. I liked the fact that the Academy includes paint masks for the clear part which makes painting significantly easier. You can 3 different M1A2s (Tusk I, Tusk II, SEP V2). I highly recommend this kit for the Abrams fan but would recommend to the intermediate and advanced modelers.

This is an excellent kit for all skills. It is not too difficult for a beginner with some dexterity. It does have a decent part count for a kit that doesn't have the interior. Due to the fact that this kit has options as to the type model, there are leftover parts and decals (nice for the scrounge bin). Academy did an excellent job of engineering the parts and assembly. This kits has some of the best tolerances for fit that I have seen. I will look to Academy in the future for kits.

Very Enjoyable Build! I really enjoyed building this kit, extremely detailed excellent moulding , excellent Photo Etched parts. Extremely Satisfying results. This was my first Academy kit and not my last. Probably the best Abrams kit out there, Can't say enough good stuff. Added an equipment accessory set.All Pros here No Cons. If you want a really great Abrams kit, This is it!
Pretty cool kit
I loved this kit, although I didn't purchase it from Hobbylinc. It's very detailed and offers 3 versions. Tusk 1 and 2, and the V2 with the Crows turret.
highly recommended
