Excellent Base Coat for Metallic Finishes
Highly recommend using the Alclad Black Base in conjunction with the Alclad metallic finishes if you are trying to achieve the natural metal finish on an aircraft model. I did not have to thin this paint before using with my airbrush and clean up was super easy using Lacquer Thinner.

This is the first Alclad product I have tried. Instantly, I wanted more Alclad metallic paints for my airbrush. The Gloss Black Base works wonderfully on tank tracks and as a base for metallic finishes. Really excellent paint.
Great base…..
Great for any metallic that needs a black base coat…. Would recommend this for more than just there product line too… Just keep paint in the same family…. For best results…..
Paint stays soft for weeks
This paint takes weeks to harden Slowing model production tremendously, have switched to Tamaya gloss black lacquer to achieve same results but with fast dry times

This was a great black base coat of paint for high Shine metallic paint such as alclad chrome paint.
