I bought this kit with the 1968 Sunray DX Corvette road racer in mind. The kit includes a lot of extra parts including a supercharger, a set of minilite wheels, an open face helmet, and parts I was at a loss to identify. There is no front bumper, however, rear bumpers are included. The body has nicely flared fenders, with light engraving for the doors, and none for the headlight doors. There are no molded emblems or side lights. IMHO, the kit is a great basis for a vintage racer. Crisply printed decals of stripe graphics, gauges, and license plates are also included. If you intend on using the included roof, be prepared to reshape the sail panels to match the curve of the rear fenders and to reshape the top of the windshield header at its ends to close unsightly gaps. Be warned that rear window glass is not included. The hood fits very well but the provided hinge allows the hood the flop over to the side when opened. There is no getting around that this is a dated kit. The chassis plate is promo style, but without molded in rear suspension detail. The engine can be built as a small block or big block; however, it comes off better built as a small block. Despite a low parts count and light engraving, the bucket style interior shows very well. Other than the roof and the big block side pipe headers, parts fit is decent. The instructions are poor and do not call out many of the included parts. Despite its shortcomings, a resourceful builder can build the kit into a nice looking third gen Vette.
