Reviews : AMT 65 Chevy Chevelle AWB Time Machine Funny Car

I got this AMT Chevelle AWB kit for Christmas, and I love it! First of all, there was ZERO flash on my kit. Everything fits perfectly. Quality wise, it's on the same level as a modern Revell kit. It's a fun, easy build that anyone will enjoy, whether you're a seasoned builder or just starting out. The only thing I personally didn't care for was the chrome plated front axle and shocks. No problem though. I simply primed and painted them to match the frame. I usually kit bash with spare parts from other kits, but this Chevelle is cool straight out of the box. No custom parts required... Just paint and assemble, and you've got a real show stopper. Would definitely recommend!

This was another one my brother built in the late '60's. He got bubbles in the body paint so he scrapped the body and put a '57 Chevy body on the frame with a wired 426 Hemi in it and put a straight axal under it. It also had plastic slicks on it. That was a WILD looking drag car!

A fairly simple build if you do it box stock. I chose to add after market decals & some fabricated parts to make it look like Bruce Larson’s AWB Chevelle. It turned out pretty good. I would recommend this kit, use or imagination or build box stock. Have fun.

Excited to get one of these kits. Just have to wait for them to be back in stock!! Probably will be one of the few times I build something box stock!

This was a easy and fun kit to build. There was no flashing and parts fit quite well.
