Still a good kit
Hello Everyone This is a classic Amt kit that still stands up today. It has two different motors, a stock flathead V8 with a single carburetor, or use the Offy heads with a dual carburetor setup. The other engine option is a Chrysler 413 with dual carburetors. In the last thirty years Amt Ertl added some new items to the tooling. Thin baby moon style rims to use on narrow tires, Offenhauser heads and a dual carburetor intake, and lowered suspension parts. Round 2 a few years ago restored some of the tooling and retooled some of the parts. Cadillac sombrero hubcaps, the piston shifter, a chrome crank and pistons for display and a few other parts. The only issue is the hood, on the passenger side, it has a tendency to not close properly, it has flash issues. Overall this is a really good kit for being over 60 years old.
Thanks AMT !
You did us right AMT..Considering the age of the tooling (1963) this was actually pretty clean with minimal flash & moldseams.. Looks like pretty much everything is there, which means lots of spare parts. I remember building this (trying to lol) as a kid of 10 for the first time, this will be the fitfh..Thank you AMT..
