The Aerotech E18 motors are a fantastic option for your 24mm rockets which use a standard Estes D sized motor if you are looking for some extra oomph for your launch - especially for those rockets that only support the Estes D12-sized motors (as opposed to the longer E-sized motors) The price on these reloads is fantastic at HobbyLinc. The assembly of the reloads is pretty simple once you have done it a few times. You can break even on the cost of a case after a dozen launches or so but that is secondary to the options that open up with these motors. For example: An Estes Saturn-V only fits a D-12 sized motor and you get a pretty low (and scary flight!) with that motor. With the Aerotech 24/40 case you can use these E18 motors and get your Saturn up a couple hundred feet with a fantastic noisy, white smoke trail that is just fantastic. Furthermore, a number of the larger Estes LPR rockets that can handle the E motors (Black Star Voyager, QCC Explorer, V2 to name a few) are really fun with the E18 motor in it as an alternative to the Estes E9/12 black powder motors. I highly recommend these as a fun addition to the black powder E class motors you may have in your range box.

This E class reload is a great go to if you are looking to get that extra power into some of your Estes kits. The reloads go together easily although it is important to follow the instructions closely. The reloads and casing prices on HobbyLinc are the best I have found. If you use this reload in your Estes kits designed for E class motors you will need to use the spacer provided with your rocket kit b/c this motor is actually D size.

This motor hits hard when lift off. It has a nice white flame and put my estes Maniac out of site! The altimeter read 3320 feet!
