Lovely little kit!
This is a lovely little kit with clean molding and a nice integral base. Included is a small clear plastic sheet for window glazing which was a pleasant surprise ( needed to be trimmed a wee bit ). Molded in appropriate colors so you can skip painting if you wish - Testors plastic model paint worked just fine. I used Testors plastic model cement to paint the exposed surfaces of the base and then pressed them into turf prior to assembly. This kit includes two unpainted seated figurines that will be a challenge to paint - 00 or 000 brush and magnifying loop light required!
Shanty

Nice little trackside shanty. Easy to assemble. The only painting I did was to paint the coal black and I painted the shovel handle. I did not use the two figures playing checkers. The door is molded to be open but in hindsight I think I would crease the edge with the modeling knife and glue the door closed. The clear plastic for the window was the perfect size to fit the opening and did not require any trimming to fit.
A Good Cheap Building

Difficulty: Beginner
Pros: Easy to assemble. Basic design.
Cons: Have to paint the figures. Stop sign should be a sticker and not a decal (I am terrible with decals).
Realistic looking shanty

Very easy to assemble. I liked that it included people with it. Wish more kits would do that. Fits into my display very well.
