Atlas Roundhouse
Ok I purchased this with the intention of buying a second one to make a six stall roundhouse. Instead, I just have the three stall and 3 long sidings. I will explain that shortly. It looks good. Its a nice kit, very detailed and perfect to light up. The rafters make it so easy to string led's. Be careful of the non-working lights that hang over the door. Or you will spend some time trying to super glue it back to the base. Decent room to hold a nice sized loco. Now, about my 3 stall roundhouse and my three long sidings. I came to realize that this is a storage war. If I have to choose between looks and space, I'm gonna choose space each time. I have the three stall for prototype looks, and next to it, where the next three stalls should be, I have three very nice sized sidings where I can keep my switchers. A very nice kit, And I had a great time putting it together.
good for beginners
the finished result is nice, easy to detail and weather. the drawback to this model is the instructions, they have missed a pretty important step: when to put the doors in, if your not paying attention you will build around the doors and not be able to get them in. i think this is still a decent model, very suitable for beginners who should get a feel for planning out their layout and model before hand.
Good quality
Surprisingly good quality for the price. The pictures of the product were not great so I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. I intend to use it for kitbashing a couple of other projects. I will try to upload some photos.
Roundhouse kit
This was the time model i built after coming back to model railroading. I made a mistake or two, went together eazy. Will see how it goes in N scale, HO roundhouse was built for my Dad's layout.
Round house kit
Easy to understand and assemble. Trains move in and out with ease and lines up perfectly with turntable.
