Reviews : Bachmann Overland Limited

This is a wonderful set from Bachmann. It is a Bachmann engine, so it's not the super-detailed ones from other manufacturers, but she's a smooth-running, easy to run locomotive. She's hard to rail - the back bogies seem hard to properly rail, but this could be more my thick fingers. Also, having read many reviews around the web (including one here), I have not had any problems with the engine tracking on the 22 radius curves provided in the set. I have not had a chance to run her on 18 curves (of which I have a great many). I believe also this engine has the capability to produce smoke - I received a small pouch of what I can only assume is liquid smoke, with the set. I do not know if this is standard with all sets, or just in the set I purchased.

This is a great value! The only problem is that the newer version of this set came with a slightly different locomotive, other than that, I love the set, and I'm sure that you will like it, too.

A wonderful set of trains. It comes with 22 inch curved track and I had the Engine coming off the track all of the time. I had to remove the front wheels and I removed the problem.

I've had this set before. I am now running this one on 33.25 radius curve track . I find the locomotive looks better on the larger radius.
