Great looking addition, excellent fine detail
The Details West derail is a fantastic addition to a modern layout These are used to keep rail cars from rolling out of sidings and spurs and fouling traffic. The kit has great cast details and gives you the option of using this with or without the stand. Also included are optional posts, extra ties, and optional left or right derails. Also optional is ability to have this actually working by drilling a small hole and inserting a pin. After painting the derail terra cotta orange, I installed this without the stand and in the open position. ADVISED: This derail is for code 100 track height. If using code 83 or lower, you will need to shave down the ties to prevent hanging up on underframes and trip pins. Overall, great product, looks fantastic
