Strong Motor. Likes to CATO.
I have used these motors extensively when launching in smaller fields. These motors can lift a 3 oz rocket with authority, but they keep the apogee lower so you recover your rocket in small areas! I fly BT-50 size rockets which are great because you can actually fit wadding, streamers and 'chutes inside the airframe, unlike the BT-20 size and ESPECIALLY the BT-5 size tubes. Use a motor adapter to fit these mini motors into a BT-20 or BT-50 airframe tube. WARNING: Because of the high output of these motors, I have about a 1 in 10 fail rate, i.e. the motor over-pressurizes (CATOs) when rocket is several feet off the pad. (Remember the old B-14 motors? Same problem here). Build your rocket strong if you will be using these motors. For rockets 2 oz. in weight or less, I recommend the A3-4T which does not suffer from the CATO problems of the A10-3T.
Small, cheap and powerful (for the size)

Mounted in a 1.3 ounce, 10-inch long BT-5 rocket like the FIRESTEAK this motor shot it up clean out of sight. Just for the heck of it, I even tried one with an adapter in the 3.2 ounce, 35-inch long, BT-55 AMAZON rocket... thinking it would barely get it off the pad -- and damned if it didn't lift that beast 12 feet into the air. Great for small and even medium sized birds, but with one caveat: The ejection charge is a little weak for body tubes wider that a BT-20, particularly if more than 15 to 20 inches long. In the case of my test with the AMAZON it did not have enough ejection power after traveling up the 30 inches up to the nose cone to pop the chute.
Strong for a mini motor
These really get your smaller rockets off the pad FAST. We shot a sky duster up like a lighting bolt. it was very cool. The are strong enough for use in a 18mm airframe with an adapter, particularly if the model is small and or your field is
big punch in such a tiny package
all my micro rockets get these loads - they jump off the launch pad so fast its amazing. don't blink - these little guys are fun and quick - highly recommended for any rocket requiring this size engine.
Fun
Not the most powerful small motor out there, but for the price of these you really can't go wrong especially if you're working with little kids.
A10-3T
For the mini-engine crowd. These will lift your 1 ounce or less rockets out of sight. Streamer recovery suggested...
