Estes Nike-X, Great Rocket
The Nike-X rocket is a great flying rocket and a redesign of the older Estes Stiletto rocket. The Stiletto had a conical nose cone, tapered delta lower fins and 3 fins instead of 4 fins like the Nike-X. Replace the rubber shock cord, with a 3/8 inch elastic band, or 80lbs. stranded nylon fishing line 4 times the length of the rocket. Good rocket to upscale and up power, maybe multistage too.
Another great rocket with a nike booster
This kit is a very simple build for an experienced modeler. The added fins can be difficult if not done properly. The best flights are on an Estes B6-4 motor. I have launch over 5 times and not repairs have been done. Great kit!
