I picked this kit up as a quick build/comparison to the Italeri Corsair. I built the two at the same time, side by side. Previous Hobby Boss kits have either had great exterior detail and nothing inside, or nothing outside, and great interiors. This kit has neither. I am fully aware that it is meant to be simple and boy is it. The cockpit detail is... none. The gear has to be built down, the rocket pylons are over thick and the engine is molded into the cowl. I knew I was in for a simple build but this was almost too much. Even as a first build I can see people being bored with it and not returning to the hobby. In good faith I can't recommend this kit to others. If you need a beyond basic kit sure - the HB easy builds might be your thing, but if you want to stay in the hobby a while, look elsewhere.

I love building Hobby Boss models because of their excellent exterior details. This model is typical of Hobby Boss in that the painting details are nonexistent except for the exterior. The wing / fuselage fit is not as good as the other Hobby Boss models I have built but it is not that big of a gap compared to other companies gaps. Decals included for two versions. It comes with two canopies, a one piece and a two piece. I did break the one piece trying to get it to fit but was able to use the other one. Overall it was a fun build and I will continue to build Hobby Boss models because of the excellent finished products they produce. I gave it only four stars due to the lack of painting details and a minor issue with the single piece canopy.

This kit is very good BUT it does have a couple of issues 1 the plane can only be built landing gear down. The rear wheel well door panels are molded as part of the fuselage. They are too thick to cut off so your stuck. 2 . The decals MUST BE PUT ON BEFORE THE ROCKETS GO ON OR you won't be able to put on the bottom wing decals other than this this kit is excellent.

Just getting into military aircraft modelling, wanted to start with an easier kit... Although this kit lacks some of the detail compared to some other kits, really like the idea of this kit being a 3 piece airframe. Makes it really easy for a beginner or someone looking for a quick project to kill tie in between other thngs they may have on the bench

My 9 yr old boy and I enjoyed! The parts and assembly weren't overly complicated. Well molded pieces so we didn't get stuck cleaning them up too much. Teaching him how to air brush so with easy assembly we were able to focus our time more on that. Careful with canopy pieces, they break really easily. Lucky we had multiple kits.

Crisp molding, excellent panel scribing and detail. Unique for the Hobby Boss Easy Build series, the kit has pretty good cockpit detail to include a seat and control stick. Also an additional bonus is the kit inculdes two canopy options: one open and one closed. Pretty cool.

I thought this was a very nice and detailed kit for the price. This scale (1/72) is perfect for limited display space. I enjoyed building this kit very much.

When they say easy build, they mean it! This kit snaps together but I used glue anyway. Super fast and easy build. Pretty much a beginners model.

Nice model and fun to assemble. I am former Navy so I used the Navy decals but I used the Marine snake behind the propeller.

Excellent build and not just for beginners. An excellent choice for working on your painting and detailing.
