25 parts build into a gorgeous model.
A friend clued me into the well-designed and molded Hobby Boss EZ kits, and now I have bought several. This P-40N was the first I built, and it went together perfectly. I opted for the belly tank rather than a bomb, but either way, the total number of parts in this amazing little kit is a mere 25 pieces - Yet it gives the impression of a much more sophisticated model. I highly recommend it, especially as a starter kit for younger modelers, or for someone - like me - who had left the hobby for decades, and came back to it in retirement. The Hobby Boss EZ kits are a joy to build, and allow you to concentrate on painting and detailing instead of struggling to assembly needlessly complex subassemblies. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy more detailed and complicated kits as well. But sometimes, you just want to sit back cruise through a built without any hassles. I built mine using Burma Banshee decals from Rising Decals manufactured in the Czech Republic, though the kit decals are fine, too.
