I was excited to not only get this helicopter for my collection, but also to build it. It has some unbelievable features that are very different from the usual helicopter model. The main one is the counter rotating gear box you build that actually turns the rotors counter. It took some work (filing, sanding, etc) and playing with it plus some graphite, but it works like a charm. The rotor blades turn counter when turned. The other unusual aspect is how the cockpit windshields attach from the outside and effortlessly. Thats a nice change. I really enjoyed the build because the cast and fit was great. Everything was as it should be except one very important piece. The decals were rotten. They were old and did not want to turn loose from the backing no matter what I tried. Needless to say most didnt make it on the copter. With my age showing and lack of steadiness with my painting, I didnt try to replicate them with paint. Oh well, Its was still a very detailed and fun build. I would not recommend it to an amateur builder. This Rusky Copter is for the experienced builder. I loved every minute of it. Received this kit just the other day. Opening the box showed nice crisp panel lines and lots of detail right out of the package. This will be my second Hobby Boss kit, I’m working on their F3H Demon right now, and I can’t wait to start it. If this kit goes together like the Demon, it will look super and there is lots of aftermarket goodies for it also.
