Best Mark V but needs attention.
The mark V Spitfire made by Hobby Boss is the best spitfire kit I have yet built. I could only give it a good rating because of several anomalies I found in the kit. If you look at the cover art you can see that the spinner appears to be correct for the mark number, however, in the kit the spinner is a mark I or II type. I was disappointed. The detail is above good but not excellent. Also, the parts trees are exceptional in quality, but because of the attachment points bleeding over on the machined surfaces each part had to be viewed and trimmed so the matching parts fit together properly. As a well detailed model it is a fine example of a Spitfire Mark V and a good display. I do recommend this kit because it seems accurate in most other details except the spinner.
