Trumpeter makes a very good but there is one glaring issue
I have built 4 trumpeter ME 109’s and I can say that they are very good and have the accuracy I look for. They have done a good job with the details but I think they could do better with there decals and paint schemes. Because I have access to more accurate colors and camouflage details I could work around those areas I thought were questionable.. Otherwise these 109’s make a great display. The one glaring issue is the fit/finish of the wing assembly and fuselage. Not good, and it takes a lot of work to get the marriage of these two sub assemblies to be satisfactory. In this statement I am speaking specifically of the 109F and 109G’s. The E models did not have that issue. Their issue on that assembly was that the wing a fuselage curves did not match-up perfectly but I could live with it.
