Reviews : Italeri Australian Tractor Cab

I have other italeri kits that I've enjoyed. But from the 3 trucks that I've had from them, 2 were trashed, this one was the only one that made it... What is frustrating is the nice detail we see, how everything is there, openable hood, all small details are there... but then, you try to glue it, and the glue does not stick, no matter how long you wait... It is the hardest thing to build, and that was the problem of the other 2. You'll loose your patience, when you pick up what was left curing, and it falls appart... I do not recomend any of the Italeri truck kits. Do them at your own risk.

I had been wanting this kit for a while and the right circumstances came around for me to acquire it. Like most Italeri kits, the cab is multi-piece, which can be irritating. I love all the extra parts for this to be a true Australian road train truck. It went together pretty easily. Instructions were a little confusing on exactly where to drill holes in the frame, but taking time will result in a very nice piece. I really, really enjoyed this kit. It is on my list to build an other. Well worth it!!

Authentic right hand drive gives the cab a unique flavor. Kit has a few different options that makes it fun to build - like the huge Roo-bar, the snorkels, the extra large fuel tanks, the windshield protector screen and the huge sleeper. Can just imagine this tractor cab with a road train of trailers behind it negotiating rural roads in the Australian outback.I seem to remember a scene in one of the Crocodile Dundee movies where a road train goes by. Italeri has done well with this kit.

Awesome service and item received in perfect condition!! The model comes unassembled and in cleared / sealed bags. The great thing about this kit is you can build it without painting because the parts comes in different colors: Body color- Dark Green, Windshield / lights- Clear, Bumper / Wheels- Chrome , Interior- Grey, frame and suspension- Black and other parts-Silver. Very nice kit in big 1/24th scale.

So many possibilities with this kit and all the extra parts.
