Smaller is better
The Kadee scale head couplers are a better size match for Type E couplers than their standard #5, but are still a bit large to my eyes. The whisker springs save all the trouble with the bent-bronze springs, and are thus all the easier to use. Flawless operation with standard head couplers, provided coupler height is to spec and vertical curves are limited.
