This set looks and works great
I really like this Amtrak Surfliner starter set. It comes with the M1 track set, which gives you a nice oval track setup. The track and controller work great and I had no problem setting them up. The train itself looks awesome. I really like the look of this set. The engine and coaches all run smoothly on the track. I've upgraded the coaches with LED lights and they look very nice. I'll be adding the additional coach cars soon. If you are looking for an entry level train set, you can't go wrong with this one. I will warn you though, get your wallet ready because you probably won't stop with this one!
