A cute little rustic kit with one poor componant substitution, + a few creative additons in the scraps.
Nice cute deck kit but the directions reveal an inappropriate subtitution for one componant. Instead of including a brass wire dowel (1/16 dia.)for use in making dock posts as indicated in the directions, they supply a wooden dowel that is to large in diameter to be used easely. I substituted lead solid core soldering material, perfect diameter(not brass),that I had lying around from another project.
What's interesting about this kit is the scaps left over are just as usable as the parts you use. The rectangular punchouts from the dock frame pieces are usable as steps at the shore end of the dock. The large wooden frame with the 4 big rectangler holes can be used as floating boat corrals next to the dock by trimming out boat entry ways.
