End Derailments
The points of the Peco turnouts are forced to the rails by a spring underneath. They hold the points tightly to the rail thus ending derailments. Because of that spring, I advise you to use the Peco PL-10 or PL-11 turnout motors. They have the power to break the spring tension. This particular turnout is especially useful on narrow layouts. My N scale layout is only 42 wide, but I still managed to line up 3 PL-ST6 turnouts to make a 3-track rail yard.

Perfect for tight fit locations and they work flawlessly, even my auto rack cars can negotiate these without a problem. I have a switching layout and these really help me cram in more than I could otherwise.
