Inaccurate paint
Rapido has some nice bells an whistles with details but fell short on accuracy. At this price point one would expect the paint scheme to be accurate. Unfortunately, Rapido failed to paint the blue anti-glare on the low short hood. According to my resources, all C30-7’s were manufactured well after the Santa Fe required all low short hoods be painted dark blue to prevent glare. If this inaccuracy would bother you, I would avoid this particular release. If you don’t mind needing to paint a $200 + locomotive to fix inaccurate paint, have at it. It does run nice.
