A Lot of Options for Customization - Wow!
I ordered this kit and then realized I don't know much about submarines when I opened the box. The kit is HIGHLY customizable, with options to build one of the three subclasses of the Los Angeles class, plus many other options. Honestly, I finished reading Hunt for Red October and simply wanted to recreate the USS Dallas from that book. Reading the assembly instructions, I realized that this kit is aimed at the hardcore navy lovers who might have actually served on one of these boats and want to recreate their old craft down the to last rivet. That said, I nonetheless built my version and am pleased with how it turned out... even if I feel most of the kit's subtle details went over my head. A good build for a rainy afternoon.
