good value

This was only my third build of a 1/24,25 scale car so I am definitely a beginner- which is why I chose this car. At only 70 pieces or so I figured I wouldn't be swamped and want to give up. As it turned out I enjoyed pretty much every minute of building it. There was a considerable amount of flash on my model requiring some time in clean up, the windows were ill fitting, and the front axle spindles were rather thin, knocking out the castor and camber of the wheels. On the other hand, the model was well engineered with separate door panels for interior trimming, the body slid over the chassis with little difficulty, and the decals were a pleasure to work with. One note to add, if you plan on wiring the distributor and use the stock carbs/air cleaner you may want to drill the engine or cut the distributor shaft down. Otherwise, the air cleaner will not fit over the bump caused by the wires protruding from the dist.cap. This kit is typical Revell, whether airplane or auto, a real good deal for the money.

I love this kit this kit is a lot of fun to build I love old cars so this is great for my collection this kit has a lot of cool ways you can customize it I want to add another one to my stash as this one looks so good PROS: cheap, fun to build, looks good, highly detailed, features a nice engine CONS: minor flash if you are thinking of picking up this kit then get it, it is a great kit for any old car collector and you will have many ways you can build this if I was going to give it a rating I would give it 10 out of 10 stars I am using this kit for a diorama I have about the first ever car show I went to my mom took a lot of pictures of the cars there so I build cars based on what was at the show and the beginning of my car addiction!
Very good body and chassis
By: LouM (Tennessee)
The body representation is very good. The front bumper should be glued and filled/primed before painting for added accuracy. The interior is molded well, with a center console, wood grain detail and a must have pistol grip shifter. Engine detail is very basic and not accurate. Engine compartment detail is minimal. I added heater hoses, voltage regulator, heater fan motor detail, wiring, and steering shaft/steering box. Could use more decals in this kit. Pros: body, chassis, interior, wheels. Cons: engine/engine compartment, no brake detail. If you are like me and have been building for 35 years, you're going to want more in a kit. This is a good kit for any level builder.
Nice kit
Really easy & fun kit to build. I liked the choice between stock 340-6 and 4bbl high rise. I used 1 coat primer, 3 coats Krylon bright blue, 2 coats of clear gloss on mine, and it turned out pretty sharp. Also used the Centerline wheels for something different. Part fitment was pretty good with very little flash (a little sanding did the job). I had a problem with the windshield - seems like the braces between front & rear glass were too long. Also more firewall detail would be nice (only a master cylinder) no wiper motor, voltage regulator, heater hoses, etc...). All in all a nice build. I might do one all custom & maybe Pro-Street!
High quality kit, great candidate for box stock!

This kit a blast to build. There was very little modification needed to get parts to fit together and there was almost no flash to deal with and the mold lines were minimal. The included optional parts are great to keep in the parts bin for other projects. The chrome parts are immaculate and and both chrome and clear parts have great detail. Although the decal sheet was pretty minimal the engine compartment OEM decals give this model a very authentic look. My only issue was the fairly extensive amount of bare metal foil work required. Not really a knock against this model I just hate dealing with it.
A Must

Overall this is one great kit. Yes it is lacking some detail under the hood, but the body and interior make up for it. This Challenger goes together with no issues and is a pleasure to build. I had to go with a Rapid Transit color, Go Mango was screaming my name. This Challenger looks great in just about any color, the photo gallery proves that, If you are a Mopar lover like me or just a fan of that great muscle car era this kit is for you.
Great kit, especially for a beginner!

This is a smaller parts count kit, so it would be great for a first glue kit. The details are excellent and the parts fit together nicely for a very easy to assemble model. The decal sheet is excellent and the decals go on without a hitch. I highly recommend this kit for both novices and experts as it builds into a fine representation of a great muscle car, especially with added fine details such as plug wires and heater hoses, etc.
Older build of this kit, highly recommend.
Started this kit several years ago, but just recently finished it. I scratch built a few parts including plug wires/looms, heater hoses, taller spring shackles, and slapper bars, and added the wheels/tires, so those parts are not included! Overall this kit came with awesome build options and greatly detailed parts! Fitment was amazing, I only had to trim the interior tub to clear the window better. I will buy this kit again!
Fun, easy build

I just finished this model. I decided to keep it stock and chose to build the TA version. It was very easy to put together and the pieces were in great shape. There was not a lot of sanding to be done and there was very little excess plastic on the parts. There were also many details like gauge decals that were a nice addition. I was very pleased with this kit.
Nice car and great to build
By: michaelg951
I loved building this kit. It was a snap almost. The body fits relatively well and it has great detail. There were some minor problems, like the hood being warped, but because of Revell's excellent customer service, I was able to get a replacement very quickly. The interior and exterior is very nice. I painted mine orange with a black interior.
Great basic kit, excellent platform for upgrading accessories
By: dcdcdcx3
This kit is a very basic kit that can be easily upgraded with aftermarket kits. It only comes with an upper radiator hose but no lower hose. No rear shock absorbers are included so you will have to scratch build or add your own. Parts fit incredibly well with no issues and no flashing or parts prep. Decals laid down very well.

I love the MOPAR line of models! it's the next best thing to owning the real thing!
As far as the 2n1 kit is concerned...the details between the T/A and R/A package is very realistic however a 2nd set of racing tires would have been nice to go along with the custom R/A blower kit.
Sweet build
Easy build hardly any sanding or cutting off molding flash. Options with engine and wheels. good detail on interior and engine. I built the stock version. Had a nice collection of engine parts for the extra parts box.used Chrysler yellow instead of the red.

This kit has very good detail and the assembly is fairly easy and all parts are well numbered and identifiable. The decal sheet that is included is well done to produce a very good model of this classic Mopar muscle car.
REALLY NICE MODEL TO BUILD!!!
By: tdixon1000
The Revell 1970 Challenger was a really fun kit to build. I liked that it had engine options. There was no flashing on parts, and everything fit very really well. It's a nice-looking model when finished.
Good Kit

The kit was easy to build, there are some minor wrap parts but after you bend them the way you want, it turns out to be a great kit. :)
Good beginner model!
Excellent build! Was the first model Ive ever made. Was perfect for entry level model builder! Its the one that got me addicted.

Excellent model start to finish. Almost zero flash and a fair amount of detailing. I highly recommend this model.
Good quality, quick build
Not a lot of pieces, but they are clean and fit well. Nice engine detail but still could use some help like wires.
Good starter kit
