Iconic Subject Own a Piece of History
By: mark.nickelson
You can skip reading Stuka Pilot and just build the model, first issued in the late 1960s, and you'll get a keen sense of the tank buster Stuka. It has slightly extended wingtips compared to B-Stukas, and its underside is innocent of bombs and dive brakes. Its presence is striking. Those two big tank-buster cannon were all it could carry. They were highly effective against Soviet tanks. But Oberst Rudel, the author, whose outfit got the only G-Stukas to see action (if his memoir is to be believed), said they had to send out the tank busters escorted by other Stukas to get them home safely. Think of it, how poor is your state if you need another Stuka for an escort? I'm finishing one now, with some of my last RLM 70-71-65 from Model Master. My first Stuka was a Lindberg kit, dismal but the only game in town back then. I recommend the Hasegawa and Airfix kits equally for B-Stukas. For a D/G Stuka, the old Monogram here is clean and easy, enjoyable to build and impressive to see when it's finished.

I have built this kit a couple of times in the past and even though the molds are over fifty years old it still has very little flash. The kit has changed over the years with the addition of a molded instrument panel in place of the decal but oddly the instructions don't mention it. The dive brakes, outer wing bomb racks, shrouded exhausts and the trapeze for the fuselage carried bomb found in the earlier issues of this kit are not in this one. Originally as first released, you could build a Ju87D-5 or the G-1 from this kit simply by opening the right set of holes in the wings. The present version of this kit still makes a very nice model of the tank-killer Ju87 but it would've been nice if all of the D-5 options had been kept in the kit. I would recommend this model for beginning modelers since it is a simple build and it looks good when finished.
Great detail
The Stuka was designed as a dive bomber and in that role it performed well as long as it had supporting aircover. This kit brings this iconic aircraft to life, at a very reasonable price. The instructions are clear and the build enjoyable. Just be sure to have modeling putty and sand paper on hand to deal seams and fit issues. A little extra effort and you will have a very fine representation of this, perhaps the most recognizable aircraft of WWII.
Oldie but a Goodie

Well the mold of this model indicated it to be from 1968. So far, it looks fine. The detailing is good and the assembly was quite simple. Instructions are typical Revell in that they may confuse a first time builder. Matching the Revell colors to Tamiya paints was easy. I have not applied the decals to this kit yet, but they look fine and no cracks so I do not foresee any issues. I would recommend this kit to everyone, especially beginners.
Great model

The model is a lot of fun to build and has some amazing detail. The only thing I wish was a bit better was the cockpit canopy. It’s flimsy and does not want to stay in place. You’ll have to use little clamps to compress it a bit so it stays where it is supposed to since it is wider than the cockpit itself.
Looks great in a collection.
Recommend this model to everyone.
A very fun kit (I may be biased cause STUKA (Is a Joke, I'll write a fair review))

I had an incredibly easy time building this kit, although I personally struggled with the canopy. The rest went together well, and there was some parts clean up. I had made a mistake on the guns, as I put them on the wrong wings, so my stuka looks funky. Over all, I had a fun time building this, and the painting was fun (I hand paint them)
Good Overall
Overall this was a pretty good kit. There were no real fitment issues with most pieces and there was very little flashing to deal with. The fuselage pieces fit together very well. If not for some minor filling and sanding this would be a 5 star kit.
Tank Buster
I’ll give this this kit two thumbs up! Went together very nicely with no fit issues or flash. Another kit I was able to obtain with my Hobbylinc rewards. The only complaint I have is most manufacturers do not supply the identifying tail fin decal.
Great kit for the price

This was an excellent kit for the price. The pieces fit well and had minimal flash. I used very little putty and the directions were clear and easy to follow. I would recommend this kit for beginners and experienced modelers.
My Stuka

This is a decent kit, the fit is good except for the canopy. Which is also hard to paint, even if you use a mask. The decals went on really well, but the kit does not come with the tail flash.

this is a very good kit to build . With just a little extra thought the cockpit becomes so much more and ezlily seen. The peaces fit vary well and the instructions are well drawn out.
nice
very nice quick build. very little sanding . turned out nice. great weekend build.Or nice to get that building mojo back if its been awhile since you've built that last one
German WWII Stuka 1/48 scale
By: ehsilly
Very nice model kit, good firm plastic parts and easy instruction. Easily painted. Some trimming is required but nothing major. Goes well with other WWII 1/48 scale planes.
nice kit

This is a great model to add to your WW2 collection. The detail is really good, no problems with parts fit or flash and the decals were really nice.
Not worth the price
I bought this on Amazon through HOBBYLINC, THE MODEL WAS OK LOTS OF FLASH, SO LOTS OF TRIMMING, canary fit was really bad.
Ju87G-1
Great kit. Accurate and fun. Maybe it should come with an additional pair scheme version, but overall very good.
