Reviews : Revell-Monogram Bronco Half Cab w/ Dune Buggy & Trailer

First, let me say this - in building this kit, it's about half VGC by Reese 3D printed resin! Wheels and tires, engine, trans, differentials, 3 lift kit with bumpers, shifters, steering wheel, nerf bar step, correct master brake cylinder and mount ..... The kit seems pretty good, but I did notice (after I had glued things in place) that the seats are reversed - I wound up with the driver's seat on the passenger side, and vise versa. The dash and side panels have GREAT molded-in detail; the sides are separate and easy to paint. Be sure to trim the dash decals CLOSE; not much scrouge, and use some decal solution. I just wish the hood had some form of hinging - I didn't want to hassle with making some, so I glued it open with a thin wire simulating a hood prop. The rear taillights are chrome; you paint them red, as well as the side marker lights; the front side markers and grill turn signal lights need to be painted as well. The kit decals are pretty good, not fragile. I didn't use the stripes, but the others are good. Interestingly enough, the buggy and trailer are SIMPLE - press-fit, no glue needed (the mounts on the buggy wheels were loose; I did need some glue there..). Trailer is 15 pieces; buggy is 26. Once you have things all painted up, actual construction takes around 15 minutes. Tires are two-part plastic, and the wheels pop in; this holds for both. Take your time on the paint and decals, and you can get a cool little buggy!!

I've built the full cab version and expect this one to go together no differently than that one. I bought this one for the buggy and trailer. The buggy is simple and looks to be a basic kit. I plan on building this as a Mad Max vehicle so it'll be kitbashed. The trailer too small for any vehicle except for the buggy. That's a shame because it is simple but nice. I'll use it as a Camper or a Utility Trailer to go with a Construction Truck I built. It's a nice set and I think you can't go wrong for $30....just the Bronco is going to set you back $23. I'd like to see the buggy offered separately. I'd grab a few for my own Mad Max raiders.

Love it the buggy is really cool the details on the buggy are great love that Bronco half cab very nice added floor shifter yellow plug wires on the buggy black on the Bronco custom coils on the front add a battery yellow windshield to the buggy drawbacks the battery washer solvent bottle jack everything is molded under the hood hard to paint but I took my time with these and I think they turned out really nice

I see a lot of negative reviews for this kit because the dune buggy isn't extremely detailed. I don't understand why anyone would complain given this kits not even $10 more than the long roofed bronco kits. You get the half cab, a trailer, and a dune buggy. I'd say that's a great deal, and the dune buggy builds up pretty nicely. People just expect too much nowadays

I really enjoyed building this special edition Revell kit. I prefer the level 5 kits but I found this kit a level 5 for the Bronco but the dune buggy an trailer were more like level 3. The decals were very thin and delicate, easily torn. Managed to piece them together regardless. This kit makes for a nice addition to anyone's display case.

Where to begin? I found several issues with my kit, in step 19, the instructions shoe part 112 being on the driver's side, and 113 as passengers side. That's wrong it's the opposite of the directions. 2. Windshield frame is skewed so bad windshield can not be inserted correctly.

I really enjoyed this build, very well laid out and straight parts. Throw away the buggy and trailer unless you need one for a mower.

Has flash and twisting. Better to test fit all parts. has a few differant options for Bronco. other wise good kit to build.

I saw this kit and just had to have it.It will go great with my other Brpnco Model that has the full top.

This kit was fun to build. There is a lot to it, but it is worth the extra time it takes to create it.
