Amazing detail
Revell are well know for their value for money. Generally speaking they are low in cost, reasonably detailed, and relatively easy to build. Having said this I must also warn that this kit has some issues with over flash and fit that make the build a little more difficult. These will present no problem for the seasoned modeller, and as long as you are willing to put some extra effort in with cleanup of parts and puttying/sanding fit issues, you will get an excellent result. The detail in the engine is very impressive, and my choice is to build it with open cowlings to show this off. After all, this was the main reason I purchased the kit. I have a Tamiya kit which did not have nearly the same detail, cost more, and for which I purchased an after market engine. The after market resin engine presented no less cleanup and fit issues so I don't see this Revell kit as being a problem. In fact quite the opposite, you will get a great result from your extra effort and pay a lot less than the Tamiya alternative, if your wanting the engine detail to show off. To me that makes this kit every bit worth the money I spent.
