First motorcycle build
As many have already said, this is a great but challenging kit with really awesome detail. I was a little intimidated by this kit at first due to the high level of production. As I jumped into the kit I became to really appreciate this detail and it encouraged me to due more.
A couple things one should know before building this kit - I'm considering doing a second one in blue..
- The plating on the metalized parts is more like paint, if glue or solvent touch these the finish will disappear quickly so use extra caution working with those parts.
- Using tweezers to attach the tubing helped tremendously
- the only con I ran into was the fitment of the upper cowel with the lower cowel, directions have you attach the upper first and I feel I would have gotten a better fit if I would have waited to secure it after screwing on the lower cowel.
- would also be worth noting that I was very impressed with the ease of application of the supplied decals.
This was also my first Tamiya kit build (usually build kits from Revell Monogram) and it has certainly made me a fan of the brand.
Fun kit to build

This was a fun build and challenging. The detail on all the parts are highly detailed down to the weld seams on the frame. Definitely not a beginners model but if you are a seasoned modeler then Its a great kit for the dollar.
Pink Perfection
Good little kit from Tamiya. Decided to paint it up pink for the wife. Its a little bit older kit from Tamiya so the instructions were a little rough but a fun build all the same. These Tamiya bike kits are so much fun!
