If you are into Mustangs or Ford Racing, this is a must have kit. This kit is kind of pricey but the overall fitment is outstanding, virtually no flash at all. During assembly I only did some light sanding out of habit. This is not a kit for the beginner as there are a number of small parts. The instruction sheet can be a little tricky but not for the experienced builder. The kit does not come with a complete engine but it seems like a fairly easy kit to modify or fabricate to include an engine as the bottom half of the engine is included. You need to do some kit bashing to include an engine, as well as fabricate or kit bash for a radiator and other under the hood accessories. Some of the decals are a little tricky as well especially the carbon fiber decals. There are some small parts that may be difficult to assemble but not for the experienced builder. Painting is a minimum as many parts are molded in color, but for accuracy you may want to paint some parts. I painted mine according to the instruction sheet with a few exceptions. This kit is overall a good kit with steerable wheels, molded in color parts, easy of assembly and can be assembled without painting. I would give this kit a 4 out of 5, because of the lack of an engine.

Due to the pandemic and working from home, I finally had a chance to get back in scale modeling for the first time in several years. I decided to break out the old airbrush and buy a more recent Tamiya model to get going. This one does not visually disappoint! It is a curbside model, so no engine detail. But the quality is typical Tamiya -- no flashing, minimal mold lines, well fitting and accurately detailed parts & decals, etc. I was not a huge fan of the way the tail lights were designed to be painted; the inner reflector is one chromed piece that has to be partially painted flat black, requiring careful removal of paint to get the desired look. But the end result looked great! Being a curbside, I would rate this build on the easier side. Overall a very fun build for anyone with beginner to intermediate hobby skills!

this was my first experience with a Tamiya car. for the money I expected a full build. it has a very detailed suspension and interior. the hood does not open so all that good engine compartment detail and all the real fun isn't there. like I said. my first time with a Tamiya car I don't know if they're all like that but I did expect more.

For a curbside kit, this thing is fantastic. Tamiya really did a great job with this brilliantly engineered kit. Parts fit is typical Tamiya perfection. Decals are included for two versions, but are a little tricky if you don't have a lot of experience applying them. All in all a great kit for the experienced builder. I bought 5 of these kits.

Very cool kit to build, and so many aftermarket options for this kit.

Lots of minute detail that really makes this car stand out.
