The Tamiya 1/35 Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer Mittlere Production #35285 kit is the same kit as the Tamiya kit #25156. The only difference is kit #35285 does not have the Aber PE parts. As the plastic parts are identical, the comments for kit #35285 also apply to kit #25156. This Tamiya kit is a straightforward build with precision fit parts as expected from this brand. If the builder elects to purchase kit #35285, you will be provided with a single piece plastic barrel. The excellent detailed standing figure is the same for both kits. Please be careful when installing the arms for the idler wheels as you can easily mount them pointing in the wrong direction. Look at the diagram for how to install these parts very carefully. There are diagrams to make one of four camouflage paint schemes for this vehicle. The builder is provided the option to use link and length tracks or vinyl rubber band tracks that can be assembled using Tamiya Extra Thin Cement. As the side armor hides the area where the track sag exists, I used the vinyl tracks for my build. Decals for this kit are thick, however, they went on without any problems. Use of an airbrush to replicate the tri tone paint schemes shown in the paint and marking guide is highly recommended. This kit is recommended for intermediate to advanced model builders with good airbrush skills, due to the somewhat involved paint schemes shown for this vehicle.
