A Subtle-ish Difference From Normal Yellow

There is a actually a noticeable difference between Lemon Yellow and normal Yellow. However, what didn't make sense to me was the fact that Lemon Yellow can actually be made by mixing Orange with normal Yellow. Yes it takes some effort and patience, but knowing that you can just make this color makes the paint option seem kind of redundant. Then again, there's probably a model out there that needs this exact shade of yellow and it's just convenient to have it premixed on hand.
The quality is excellent. I just use Tamiya's recommended 2:1 (paint:thinner) ratio for airbrushing. It works great and like all Tamiya acrylics it is easy to use. Even rookie airbrushers shouldn't be able to mess this up (too much) :P
Oh, it's also easier to get Gundam Yellow by using Lemon Yellow as a starting point, so I guess there is in fact a purpose to this color.

Tamiya makes the hobby paint on the planet. Its so easy to work with. The coverage is awesome. At first, coming from Testors, I was hesitant because Testors is so thin and barely covers. Once I used it, it was a game changer. I will be switching all my paints to Tamiya.
A bit tricky

You got to be precise when using this paint color. I made some minor mistakes painting my models, and when I went to remove the paint it left a yellow stain. Nonetheless, color wise, this is a great vibrant yellow when it dries. Still would recommend.
Nic e plain or mixed with red to make orange or blue to make green

Used this to mix with red and produced a nice orange, which my grandson wanted on his plane. Then painted a ribbon shirt on a Native American eating at a picnic table.
Nice gloss yellow

Good yellow color, although you will need several coats over any dark color - better to spray white or white primer first. Good for ends of propellers.

Very nice yellow, color does darken with multiple coats. Thinning is simple for airbrush use, I recommend 2 parts paint to 1 part thinner.
Looks Racey
After thinning this paint leaves a nice finish when airbrushing or hand painting. Great color match for 1984 Le Mans winning Porsche.
You want yellow?

This yellow is as bright as a real lemon. Covers in one coat and really brightens up whatever you are painting.
Best paint for the money

Just can't beat this paint. I used it for a resin figure. Lays down well, and coverage is great.
