Good white paint
By: clunymike
This is good white acrylic paint. It’s in a good sized pot, and its consistency is a bit on the thick side. It thins well with water, and if you thin it to 5-6 parts paint to 1 part water it will give a very nice brushstroke free look in 5-7 coats. It needs the extra coats because it’s white, and everything shows through. Definitely use a surface primer though as this can easily pull off of bare plastic with multiple brushstrokes. I would still recommend thinning it to avoid visible brushstrokes. Also the surface primer will help conceal the color of the plastic allowing you to use fewer coats. Probably white acrylics are pretty standard, but I like the price, value and quality of this one.
Not bad

I normally have great things to say about Tamiya products, this is one that is not the case. Though the color and shade is perfect, exactly what i needed (and wanted Tamiya expecting the normal great aspects), it is very thin, and does not apply well. It requires 4 or 5 coats to get a solid layer on it, but it is not consistent. Maybe a primer would make it better.
This flat white is a great choice.

This flat white is excellent. Goes on smooth whether air brushed or brushed. Leaves little to no brush marks. With airbrushing, It usually covers in one coat, but You will have to double coat sometimes, depending on the base color.
This white from Tamiya is an great choice to meet the need for this much-needed color.
A great acrylic option for flat white

Tamiya produces quality products and this paint is no exception. Might need a little thinning depending on your airbrushing preferences, but you could shoot this paint straight up if you wanted. As with other Tamiya paints, this mixes well with other colors to customize your paint for your modeling needs.
Everyone should have this

This is one of those paints that can be used for anything. Personally, I like it for imitating snow on tanks and other military vehicles. Dry-brushing works very well with it. I also use this for dioramas if there's a white wall or fences. Beyond that this paint thins well with Tamiya's acrylic thinner.
Great paint
I hate painting anything with white paint as it takes coat after coat to have a decent opaque finish. This is the first white paint that I have used that had a good first coat. I highly recommend this paint to anyone because I have not found another white paint that offers the same kind of coverage.
Best model paint by far

Tamiya makes the hobby paint on the planet. Its so easy to work with. The coverage is awesome. At first, coming from Testors, I was hesitant because Testors is so thin and barely covers. Once I used it, it was a game changer. I will be switching all my paints to Tamiya.
Love the Tamiya Acrylic XF2

Personally, this has been my favorite flat white for a quite some time, especially for my space program focused jobs. I just really like it.
It does turn out a bit chalky which some may not like.
Tamiya XF-2 White

This paint is great because of its thickness. Most paints require many, many, many coats of paint to achieve maximum coverage of the white color. This is one quality that make Tamiya paints superb.

Great acrylic paint
Paint to Thinner range 2:1 to 1:1 for airbrushing depending on air pressure, paint volume and distance from subject. Experiment on scrap plastic first.
For me 2:1 works best on light colors
Excellent product, be careful with thinning.

Excellent color and density, white, for whatever reason requires less thinner than the other paints. I would recommend using only about half the thinner normally used for darker shades.
Great quality paint from Tamiya

Tamiya paints are top quality. I thin Tamiya acrylics with 2:1 Mr Hobby leveling thinner (2 parts thinner to 1 part paint) and it’s the perfect ratio for airbrushing.
Nice flat white

I needed a flat white for multiple uses and this one is perfect. I wanted more than the little bottles for future use and the 3/4 oz. is plenty and at a great price.
Great color

I use this a lot for lightening colors and it works great. Need to use several layers though, white paint doesn't cover as dark as other ones.

Some whites are iffy...not Tamiya white...it is good. Lays down easily with airbrush. Perfect flat finish on balsa and tissue.

Always keep a bottle on hand. Use it to build mottled coats on my armor kits. Works well to lighten base colors for highlights
Tamiya's Flat White
By: black.xahki
It was noticeable opaque enough to hold it's color over a different colored base. Didn't need too many layers to look good.
useful
This is high quality paint. I use it for snow, snow camo, mixing with other colors to lighten and certain aircraft markings.

Will be switching to tamiya paint from tester. Was able to track it on shop app.
Great Paint!
Definitely worth the money! Paint was a good looking color just as shown and easily washes out of brushes!

As always Tamiya sets the bar for modelers. Maybe not the best paint out there, but best for the money.
Nice Product

Very nice white. Thinning is simple for airbrush use, I recommend 2 parts paint to 1 part thinner.

standfard flat white

Tamiya acrylics are greta. Flat white is useful by itself or for mixing with all sorts of colors.
Great Paint!
Never had any issue with Tamiya paint, other than it goes on a bit heavy. Great quality!
