Good sheen
This Flat Aluminum has a nice matte sheen when dry. I used it to emulate bare metal lines, bare metal bell housings, as well as emulated the bare metal on distributor housings and even brake lines on the rear differential.
I even used it to emulate the galvanized sheet metal used in the construction of the fuel tank.
Really am impressed with this paint. Have used it for quite a bit more than just duplicating aluminum parts alone.
Loved it.

I used this to paint small details and pipes on my model car. Good alternative to the chrome silver tamiya paint, for parts that you don't want to be too shiny. It is a matte silver, when applied this paint looks great! Helpful tip: Shake up the paint well before painting to ensure a good shimmer on your model. Check the bottle of the bottom to make sure the glitter is not stuck at the bottom.
Tamiya XF-16 Flat Aluminum

This paint is great for NMF (natural metal finish) jobs. There are a lot of planes, like the MiG-21, the Mig-29, and more that have a natural metal finish. Also, when painting engines, you really want to have some sign of color difference so that you can bring your model to life. This paint is a really good option for NMF work.

Best model paint by far

Tamiya makes the hobby paint on the planet. Its so easy to work with. The coverage is awesome. At first, coming from Testors, I was hesitant because Testors is so thin and barely covers. Once I used it, it was a game changer. I will be switching all my paints to Tamiya.
A good, but not perfect NMF paint

If you want the best natural metal finish (NMF) paint, try Alclad II. But those aren't acrylics, so if you want a NMF acrylic, this is a solid option. It might take some experimenting to get the desired finish and shade, though.

I usually use Tamiya and Vallejo paints. I've never really had a problem except with this one paint? Maybe I just got a bad bottle? It dried out after only 2 uses? I will still recommend it because it is Tamiya.
great on wood
i used this on some oak and did some lettering and it turned out great. i have used it now on a few materals and they all have turned out great. i love this product. its completely worth the money.
My go to!
I really like this color! I have been using it a ton and it is my go to for scale engine parts and components. I always use two coats to get that nice aluminum finish. Looks good weathered also!
Just the right amount of metallics

I got this paint for the sole purpose of painting things such as brake rotors, exhausts, and other metal based things like it, and this paint does a pretty good job at representing the job.
XF16 flat aluminum

Tamiya is fantastic model paint and this one is no exception, the color is perfect for recreating that aluminum look, needs a little thinning, and you won't be dissapointed.
Great acrylic paint
Paint to Thinner range 2:1 to 1:1 for airbrushing depending on air pressure, paint volume and distance from subject. Experiment on scrap plastic first.
SILVER
A great alternative to silver when there is a need to contrast bright chrome silver. I'm using it for the interior of a 1960 Chevy Fleetside
The paint is what is listed

The paint is what is listed. The paint looks clean and new. It a Tamiya paint. The labels doesn't come lose. Paints are well packaged.
Start your Engines
When thinned the paint leaves a nice finish when airbrushing or hand painting. Great for model car engines and other metal parts.
superior paint

Excellent product from Tamiya. Unlike Testors this is a flat aluminum and it looks great on anything you use it on.
Nice paint

This is a very nice paint which flows and covers well. I've used it previously and am pleased with the results.
Bare metal finish

I love tamiya paints and this aluminum looks great as a bare metal finish. Very good finish on WW2 aircraft.
Great!
Definitely worth the money! Paint was a good looking color just as shown and easily washes out of brushes!
