I love these things! I use them for several operations including foil application, removing paint from chrome grilles, excess glue or paint clean-up, etc. Wife likes them too for her craft projects. The tips are fairly firm but still quite absorbent. A must for model building.
Works magic when doing chrome work on models.
I use Molotow chrome pens and metallic Sharpies for chrome trim on models. Sometimes I get spots where I don't want the pens chrome. These swabs will remove any small amounts if you mess up. Practice on an old painted body to see the results.

So many uses but I use them to blot and move around decals after placement. Very tightly wound!
