AWESOME!
By: chrisrasa
I wish I had access to this stuff when I was a kid. The price is right here too as Hobbylinc seems to have this for way less than everywhere else I look.
The consistency of it is so watery that it's extremely easy to work with. I've been getting great results by assembling two pieces together (or even just holding them together by hand) and then brushing a little bit of this on the seam. It seeps in between and forms a joint very fast.
I was worried about how durable it would be on some older models where there's just one or two points where the pieces really connect. It worked by applying some to just the connection points and quickly pressing them together, then after holding those together a bit just brushing a little across the seam.
One thing to note is this stuff is VERY strong, even in a ventilated space I'd have an extractor/fan going during extensive use.
Awesome stuff!
I have been building model kits almost 50 years now, and I have always used tube glue. Was watching a video on a build up of a model kit, and noticed he was using Tamiya cement. I bought myself some out of curiosity-- and it truly is a time saver... it's so much easier to use... doesn't make a mess like tube glue always did because the glue kept flowing out of the tube. You dab it on with a thin brush built right into the cap- super easy to use and apply with perfect results every time. Safe to say, tube glue is a thing of the past now that I have discovered this awesome product from Tamiya. Highly recommend getting some- you won't be disappointed with how well it works!
Great stuff
I don't use this as often as the regular extra thin, but for easily accessible things that you want to hold now, this can't be beat. It has a bit of a learning curve, since it evaporates so fast, but once you understand that, you can really get things assembled in record time. You just need to make sure you have the part ready, and close. It will evaporate on the brush if you don't have the part ready and really close.
Tamiya Extra Thin Cement 87182
Love this stuff! Flows easily on any seams or surfaces to be joined. When dry, sands easily. I found best results occur with sanding if I let the glued parts sit overnight. The applicator is better than the one found in the standard Tamiya cement #87012 but I typically use a small brush or fine-pointed applicator to apply this glue. Still, the smaller brush works in a lot of applications. Over, this fine Tamiya cement works great!
Dries too quickly
I bought this by accident when I intended to buy the regualar Tamiya extra thin cement because I didn't realize there was a differnece. This dries so quickly that I sometimes have to apply two or three coats for there to be enough to make a bond between the pieces I am gluing. Once the pieces are set, however, the bond is as strong as any plastic cement. I will buy the regular extra thin for my next bottle and compare them.
The Standard, Jr.
Tamiya Extra Thin Quick Setting Cement is another excellent cement from Tamiya. It sets up slightly quicker than the regular version, but I feel like the bond isn't as strong. Maybe it's just me. I've tried to glue pieces together and they held ok, but in some cases, I needed to come back with the regular extra thin to hold the piece where I needed it.
Love this cement

Extra thin is super accurate - this cement is basically the consistency of water. Excess can easily be sanded with various grits of abrasives (I used detail master brand). My only concern is that the brush is very short so not sure if the whole bottle will be able to be used once it gets low. Might have to sacrifice a longer paint brush to use the full 40ml.
BEST Glue Ever
By: jdburkardt
The Tamiya Extra Thin Quick Setting glue cures and evaporates almost instantly helping you to build your kit faster. The handy brush applicator on the cap is precise enough to contact small parts. The glue works by capillary action and is sucked into plastic seams creating a near instant plastic bond.
Thin cement
This is my first time using this brand and type of glue. From the 70s up untill now, I’ve been a testors tube glue kind of modeler. Well, now it’s time to say good bye to the tube glue. Love the brush in the cap. The glue is strong and the bottle should last me awhile. Great value for the price
Works excellently
This is a great adhesive and a huge leap forward from the legacy toothpaste tube plastic cement we all grew up with. It is far easier to work with and has much less chance of over-application.
I have both the quick setting and normal setting versions and I can highly recommend both.

I was excited to get this cement with the brush for easier to use glue. But I have been very disappointed in this product. It has not held pieces together all the time. It is not dependable. I have went back to reliable tester glue. I have to give this product a poor rating.
Excellent product,worth trying,you won't be disappointed
I wish I knew about this glue years ago,or however long its been around. Very little is needed to give a very strong bond. Sets up quickly so positioning of parts is important. The built in brush is kind of nice but is a little on the short side, I use a fine paint brush.
This is good stuff!!!!

I have been using glue in orange & white tube mostly for 55+ yrs. I was watching a guy on youtube using this glue. I thought to myself It will never work like that. So, I got a bottle & it did work like he said! That's what I'm using almost all the time now!
Very fast
By: amsashooter
I am just getting back into the hobby after 30 years. The liquid cements were just coming out. This stuff is amazing! It may not be the strongest cement out there but it is FAST! Very helpful for getting joints set without hours of clamping and positioning.
Not sure what this is for
This is suppose to be quick setting which it is, as long as you don’t expect it to hold anything. It dries faster, melts almost nothing, and pieces will far apart after you let go. This is a very disappointing product compared to the rest of the line.
The magic elixir!
Gone are the days of smelly slow setting tube glues. This quick curing cement is a plastic modelers best friend. little mess and the brush gives you the ability to apply just the right amount just where it's needed.
Great glue and fast bonding
I like this cement and it is very fast setting. Sometimes I wait too long or it looses its initial bond, but just re-apply and try again. The thin layer and quick evaporation makes it very transparent when dry.
Quick dry thin cement

Quality product , quick drying makes assembly, swift and accurate. Clean up with thinner.
Thin applicator brush in the cap makes application easy.
Wide jar makes this product stable and less tip over risk.
Pretty good

I tried this to see, but for me, I'll stick with the regular thin Tamiya cement. This does dry somewhat faster, but I didn't notice too much of a difference with the regular cement.
Perfect Glue
By: jdlover
This stuff works wonders, sets quick and hold pieces tight together. Takes some time getting used to using a brush to apply, but once you get it you will never go back to glue tips and tubes.
Best plastic cement I've used
By: paulsmith4787us
The super thin consistency makes it great for getting it to flow exactly where you need it and the cure time (10-15 seconds) is great for building large models with multiple fiddley parts
Way Better Than a Tube
This Tamiya glue with the fine brush applicator is the way to go for glue. I don't believe I'll ever go back to a tube with the overflow and the stringy mess to deal with.
Extra thin
By: tgary1934
Great for joining small parts and even if you get cement on other parts of model unlike tube cement as long as you don't touch the area with glue it will still dry blemish free
Love this quick set!
By: travis.getz
This glue is just like the Tamiya regular thin cement (melts the plastic together) but you just have less drying time. For me, it’s a great complement to the regular stuff.
Another quality Tamiya product
By: bbqandcars
Quality we have come to expect from Tamiya. Thin, fast setting. The brush alone is worth the price. Fine point. I wish they had this brush with their regular cement.
Tamiya Fast setting cement
By: elmer5353
This stuff is great it sets up very. Quickly just. What I was looking. For don’t have to sit hold parts together for very long like most of the. Others
Greater glue
By: lowtherco
This one is even better than the brush on glue, if you can hold your parts together for about 1 minute this glue will set and it holds very well.
Good product
By: vg0591
I've just about switched over 100% from standard modeling cement. Easy to dry fit parts and the capillary effects give great results.
Tamiya liquid cement
By: stpb1
Not a big fan, so far. However, it is my first experience with this glue. Maybe after further use, I'll come back and revise my opinion.
Great Price!
By: Kclaxton87
Good glue for small or big projects. I love how quickly this sets so I'm not just starting around holding pieces together all day long
Quick setting
By: Bil73
This sets quick but I don't think its as strong as regular thin. However when your fitting a small part with tweezers this works great
Extra thin cement
When I first started building models I only used the tube glue but when I found this stuff I started using this stuff and I really like it
THE BEST
THE BEST & A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY. APPLICATOR MAKES 'APPLICATION' A BREEZE. FAR LESS MESSY THAN OLD
SCHOOL TESTORS CEMENT.
Extra Thin Cement

Works great on small parts on my model cars. I use it to tack windows as well. Use in well ventilated area.
Clean area well before use.
great cement
By: sportsdogs
great cement and very easy to use. only 1 comment on improving is it needs a longer brush as cement is hard to reach as bottle empties
great
By: dcotaventures
works better then advertised. I thought that the bottle was small but it's a great amount. Best thin glue on market, I THINK.
The best by far

I was a liquid tester fan, but after trying this product, I much prefer this tamiya glue
Exactly as advertized

Good product works really well for putting those finer plastic items together.
Decent product
By: due.erratic_0c
Good product but the paint on my figure did run off onto the brush of the glue
Great product
Works great on parts with no paint or chrome plating. Dries fast and strong.
