Before purchasing this tool, I used to use a Dremel for drilling of my models. However the drawback to this is not being able to get a low enough rpm from it. Using a pin vise you control how fast the drilling occurs which is highly essential when dealing with small scale objects. This also comes with two collets in order to hold the variously sized drill bits. A swivel head rounds out the tool by being able to have more control over the drilling action.

Not bad as I used to use a cordless screwdriver with a collet. The bits that came with the vise work good but if you're using very small bits forget it - they fall out. I'd recommend this for drilling spark plug holes and the like. Decent beginner set but if you are drilling the really small stuff invest in a different vise and a good 61-80 bit set.

I didn't need a humnongoeus set of bits. My other hobby is woodworking, so I have tons of drill bits, just none smaller than 1/16th. I've used the 1/16th, but it was a tad too big, but I dealt with it. These bits will make it easier to make a proper sized hole when I need it now.

Not a bad vise for a beginner. The chuck is constructed of plastic so time will tell how long it lasts. Also, it should be noted that the chuck is reversible to hold the smaller drill bits (screw the cap off, pull out the chuck and turn it around to use the smaller diameter bits).

It was necessary to replace my old broken pin vise. I choose this one by Testors because it appeared to be a good design. It has a nice heft to it that assists in drilling of holes. My biggest gripe is price, but most everything model related is nowadays.

Good product. Works well for my needs. One thing I didn't like was switching the base for each of the drill bits. There are two bases with two sides. You have to switch the base with each drill bit depending on the size of the bit

This pin vise & drill bits are great. They allow you to clean paint out of most holes, pre-gluing and you can easily make holes. (Saving hobby blades for other things. --slow learner!).

I highly recommend this set for the novice modeler who wants a set but doesn't want to overspend. Good variety with the drill bits and is very easy to use.

This is a beefy pin vise that is great for my large hands It comes with 5 different sizes and has a small box for you to put the bits in. Great item

This pin vise could not hold any of the small drill bits in place. Even if you tightened the top, bits would still fall out if turned upside down.
