My First Trumpeter Model
For my first Trumpeter model I chose an Italian Ariete MBT. The price was right and the quality very good. I found the molding to be high quality and fit of parts very good. My only complaint regards the difficulty I had with some parts, e.g. the stems for the rear view mirrors, and some small 'bars' for the top of the turret. I can't blame Trumpeter however! I believe these parts are properly scaled, and because they are so thin/small I had trouble separating them from the sprue. This is more a matter of my skill level, and after damaging one I was much more careful! After returning to model building after many years I am gradually gaining skills and so this was a learning experience. IMHO, the tank turned out great, and I will definitely buy other Trumpeter tank models.
This kit needs a lot of work
This was the worst kit I have ever built. Pieces don't fit, there are gaps, lots of extra work. Not for a beginner.
