Great Kit with Major Flaw
The kit parts and detail are pretty good, but the lack of a color reference is not just a disappointment, but a time-consuming process. The callouts for color are nowhere referenced in the kit. After some trial and error, I was able to determine that the colors closely match Gunze, but not quite. I use Tamiya paint, so I will have to cross reference it to the Gunze paint as well as referencing historical information. Trumpeter was no help.
This kit is of the plane my father flew in WWII, so I am going to make the effort to get it right. I cannot recommend it, because I do not believe you should have to guess at the colors.
