Nice to see this one, great kit to build
'The Sullivans' was a destroyer named in honor of the 5 Sullivan brothers who perished serving together aboard the cruiser USS Juneau at Guadalcanal. This kit is a great one to put together and easier, I think, to put together than some of Trumpeter's other kits. It is available as either waterline or full hull, as is the case with all Trumpeter kits (I chose waterline as those are mostly what I already have). The detailing is minute and this kit goes well with my others. Glad to have added it to my collection.
Excellent model as a memorial to 5 brothers
This kit is a sincerely memorial to 5 brothers who lost their lives on the same ship during WWII. The model is nicely moulded, sprues are clean of excess plastic, instructions were easy to follow. I found no negatives with this model kit. A pleasure to build on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
