Trumpeter 1/35 Soviet KV-1S Heavy Tank kit #TSM1566
This Trumpeter kit makes a good rendition of the Soviet KV-1S M1942 Heavy Fast Tank. The tread system is of the individual link type, with no option for the long rubber strip variety. The gun mantle is more detailed than in their KV-1S/85 kit, which caught my attention to it. If scheming to make a M1943 rendition out of it, you can either enlarge the little perforation holes in the roadwheels to approx. 3 times their size as they come in the kit, or make use of a set of roadwheels from their KV-8S Welded Turret kit #TSM1568 in a swap, to end up with a M1942 version of that vehicle, as well. Overall, the kit is good quality and nicely detailed, and I would recommend it to others.
